D. Scott Smith

D. Scott Smith produces and hosts The WACO Experience, An American Story, a radio show and podcast broadcast on KBBW, and co-hosts The EXPERIENCE Live with Russ & Scott, now in its sixth year. He is a co-founder of Present Gifting, the company he uses as the case study in his session. He serves as Executive Director at Edvocation, which works with high school students interested in the trades, and as Board Vice President at UPLIFT Leadership. Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur he held CEO, COO and General Manager roles across financial services, agriculture and manufacturing, managed logistics and supply chain at Hewlett-Packard, and served as a Korean cryptologic linguist in the U.S. Air Force. He is the author of FREEZE: Inaction in the Face of Business Crisis, Business Networking: A Scientific Method, Networking for Students, and the Independent Planner & Journal.
