"Before the Algorithm, There Was Your Story. That Hasn’t Changed"

Thirty years ago I helped coin the term conversion rate optimization, then watched an industry chase the word “rate” and lose the person on the other end of it. I still believe what I believed then. People don’t buy rates. They buy stories they can see themselves in. AI didn’t change that. It just removed the friction standing between the story you have and the person who needs to hear it. In this session you’ll learn exactly where that line sits. What AI can carry for you, and what it can never decide on your behalf. You’ll leave knowing how to use AI to get your story found, understood and chosen faster, without losing the thing that made it worth telling in the first place.

About

Bryan Eisenberg co-coined the term conversion rate optimization before it had a name, then spent thirty years proving that people don't buy on logic. They buy on story. He's a Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, and BusinessWeek bestselling author, and his work now centers on Generative Engine Optimization, helping businesses get found and chosen by the AI systems that shape a buying decision before a human ever clicks. He tests everything on himself first. When his health collapsed in 2024, he used the same frameworks he'd taught Fortune 500 companies to rebuild it, a story he tells in his latest book, I Think I Swallowed An Elephant. Bryan lives that same philosophy close to home. He co-owns A Place At Home North Austin with his wife Stacey, hosts the Rock Solid: Round Rock Business Leaders podcast, and sits on the board and chairs the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce Ambassador program. Round Rock isn't a backdrop for him. It's proof that the same principle holding up his global client work, story before scale, holds up just as well one relationship at a time.
